Niel Nielsen

While working for non-profit foundations and organizations, Niel D. Nielsen learned about the planning benefits of charitable donations. It was at this time that he decided to pursue a career as an estate planning lawyer. He began working in estate planning as a first-year law student at Creighton University School of Law. He worked under his father, an experienced and established lawyer in estate planning, who provided Niel with early and valuable career mentorship. During his time in law school, Niel received the American Jurisprudence Award for Contracts & Property.

Niel values the one-on-one aspect of his work as an Omaha estate planning lawyer. He appreciates the opportunity to work directly with his clients. He began his own law practice in 2002. After 10 years, he merged his practice with the team at Carlson & Burnett. Now, in 2016, he has established a new practice with his colleague, Michelle. He continues to serve his clients as a focused communicator, putting them at ease with his relaxed manner and staying committed to the interests of his clients.

As a devoted problem-solver, Niel strives to provide both practical solutions and education for his clients, communicating clearly and simply so they have the information they need to make the decisions that are right for them. He regularly provides presentations to church groups, nursing home administrators, residents of assisted living facilities and charity groups.
